Statement of Faith

We believe in the inerrant Word of God, as written in the original manuscripts. We believe that 2 Timothy 3:16-17 describe the God-breathed, inspired nature of Scripture correctly. It is useful for teaching, training, and as a tool for living. The Word of God leads us to Jesus.

We believe that mankind was separated from fellowship with God because of the fall of Adam and Eve. All mankind is born into sin, and in need of a Savior. No one can work enough, or be good enough to squeak into heaven in our own strength. We need a redeemer...a Savior.

God's plan to reconcile a lost and sinful people was revealed through the sending of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was born of a virgin (Mary) and was fully man yet fully God while He walked the earth. Jesus became our perfect sacrifice, the one path to salvation, as He died on the cross at Calvary, was placed in a tomb for three days, and rose in victory over the grave. He now sits at the right hand of the Father. It is through the sacrifice of Jesus, and His victory over death that we are able to access God and experience relationship with Him.

Because of God's great love for us and His unmerited grace, we who repent of our sins, accept the gift of salvation that Jesus has given us, will experience eternity in a literal heaven. Between here and heaven, God has given us the honor of sharing our faith with others, and bearing witness to the truth of Jesus Christ. We are His servants, and are charged to live, share, and love others with the love of Christ.
